From this tool, you can view the JobServer Startup Logs. During the startup phase of the JobServer Engine, all logging information is sent to the startup log. Once JobServer has successfully started running (out of IDLE state), the logging will be redirected to the JobServer Runtime Logs. The JobServer Startup Log is a good place to check if JobServer has failed to startup due to, for example, the database not being available or some other low level system error.
The contents in this log are overwritten every time the JobServer is restarted. Once the JobServer has successfully started the user should access the JobServer Runtime Log interface for the latest and most recent status of JobServer.
For GUI web application logs and errors you should refer to the web server logs which can be viewed manually by going to directory jobserver/sys/app/logs/<hostname>.
