The Schedule Statistics tool allows for gathering statistics about the past run history of a job or group of jobs. The statistics are related to the elapsed time spent by the job between its different run states. The elapsed times (or durations) that are tracked include the following:
You can view a report on one or all of these three durations. If you choose only one of the durations to view, you can also specify to only see job runs with durations greater than a specified threshold. For example, you can request to only get statistics for jobs that ran greater than 30 minutes in their given Partition processor.
Since failures can sometimes skew statistics, you can choose to exclude job runs that have had failures from being included in the report.
Manually run jobs do not have any scheduler delay since they are not scheduled. This can skew results that look specifically for scheduler delays. You can ignore manually run jobs by selecting the corresponding check box.
Find jobs with names that matches search pattern. The pattern "*" can be used as a wild card to return all jobs. Hit the "Enter" key to get the results, that match the pattern, to appear in the drop down list.
Choose all the jobs that match the given search pattern ("-- All Listed Jobs --"), or just choose a single job.
This is the time range to generate the report over. The range specifies the time when the job started processing from the Scheduler's perspective or was manually run by the user.
Click the button to generate the report given the defined criteria. The report will appear in separate window. If you run a new report it will appear in a new window so that you can compare two reports side by side if you wish.
